How to Add a Walk

If you have a walk you would like to add simply click ‘View all Discussions’, and then ‘Create New Topic’.

Fill in all the details of your walk, location, type of terrain, is it subtle for all or only experienced walkers? Is it mostly off lead walking? Are there any lakes where your dog could go for a swim? Make sure you give as much detail as possible.

You can even map out your favourite route, and of course don’t forget to post a photograph of your pooch enjoying itself.

Leaving a reply: Have you got something to add? The North East Dog Directory allows you to interact with other users all over the site; so if you have been on this walk, or similar, let us know!. What was your favourite thing about it? Would you recommend it? Have you got an amazing photograph, then leave a reply by clicking on 'View all replies' and then click 'Leave a reply'.

Rising Sun Country Park
Fantastic walking in a 400acre country park, Much wildlife including deer, and is a local nature reserve you can catch a glimpse of owls, kestrel and the sparrow hawks and many more.......the country park boasts grassland, woodland, ponds, wetland and a lake there is an extensive network of footpaths and bridleways and we always have fun exploring them all, I can walk there for hours with my dogs and if its a warm day there are plenty of wet ponds where they can cool off, also cafe facilities for us and a park for the kids which dogs are allowed into on leash, free parking.....Seating along the way if you need a short rest. It is truly a green oasis myself and my dogs thoroughly enjoy the rising sun it provides us with a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city around, its very hard to believe you are in the middle of town as this place is very peaceful and the view from the highest point is fantastic, I personally like to sit on the bench there, rest my dogs and take it all in......
